I haven't been out to the west coast in well over decade (Cabrillo Landing 1999 ) but the San Diego Maritime Museum has a new project that is giving me the urge to travel out that way again. They are building a replica of the the San Salvador Cabrillo's flagship used the explore the west coast in the 1540's. Starting in June the project is going to be open to public to watch it being built.
